Dana Llewellyn here. Massage therapist, yoga instructor, personal trainer, artist, musician, person, etc. Sway and Surge is my brainchild, where I draw from my experiences as a bodyworker and creative to explore the inner landscape of humanity through art, writing, guided meditations and movement. Sway and Surge are two of the six degrees of freedom--directions in which independent movement can occur.
I have a degree in Kinesiology, movement studies specialization from Western Washington University where I got my initial training in anatomy, physiology and biomechanics. After receiving my certificate as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the NSCA, I began personal training and group class instruction in Seattle, drawing from my trainings in TRX, Circular Strength Training and Animal Flow. I attended Discovery Point School of Massage in 2018 and now specialize in myofascial work and visceral manipulation. I also attended a 200-hour yoga teacher training at the Center for Yoga Seattle, an Iyengar-based studio.
My goal is to guide fellow humans to a more peaceful existence by addressing relationship of body, mind and spirit. My physical practice addresses the body, my art addresses the mind and spirit is an inevitable and inexplicable thread throughout every aspect of my work
I'm currently practicing massage at The Wellness Center Denver and instructing group classes at Fight Gravity Fitness. My art (and stickers!) are available on my etsy shop. I also have a youtube channel as well with movement and fitness insturction, as well as all my guided meditations. Enjoy!
